Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Auto & components sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.59%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OSLO:DETNOR), which rose 3.84% or 2.05 points to trade at 55.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OSLO:PGS) added 2.63% or 1.08 points to end at 42.14 and Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OSLO:GJFS) was up 2.60% or 3.2 points to 126.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGLT), which fell 8.13% or 2.70 points to trade at 30.50 at the close. Norsk Hydro ASA (OSLO:NHY) declined 2.79% or 0.95 points to end at 33.05 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE) was down 2.67% or 1.5 points to 54.6.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 97 to 75 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.01% or 0.59 to $58.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.70% or 1.05 to hit $63.06 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.17% or 2.00 to trade at $1177.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.77% to 8.7625, while USD/NOK fell 0.07% to 7.8534.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.50% at 95.56.
