Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Auto & components, Energy and Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG), which rose 2.64% or 3.40 points to trade at 132.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) added 2.40% or 3.2 points to end at 136.6 and Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) was up 1.42% or 1.00 points to 71.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which fell 9.60% or 0.19 points to trade at 1.79 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 6.39% or 2.1 points to end at 31.2 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) was down 4.27% or 1.4 points to 31.4.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 95 to 78 and 16 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 2.53% or 1.13 to $43.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 3.39% or 1.54 to hit $43.83 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 2.19% or 28.35 to trade at $1265.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.05% to 9.3637, while USD/NOK rose 0.07% to 8.2127.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 94.05.
