Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Healthcare Equipment & Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OSLO:TGS), which rose 4.54% or 7.9 points to trade at 181.9 at the close. Meanwhile, Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OSLO:NWC) added 4.28% or 12.2 points to end at 297.5 and Schibsted ASA (OSLO:SBST) was up 0.99% or 5.0 points to 511.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS), which fell 9.00% or 1.7 points to trade at 17.3 at the close. Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OSLO:RCLo) declined 2.59% or 16.5 points to end at 620.5 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE) was down 2.00% or 1.4 points to 68.5.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 87 to 87 and 6 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 1.19% or 0.67 to $55.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.83% or 0.53 to hit $62.80 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.32% or 3.90 to trade at $1197.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.13% to 8.3557, while USD/NOK fell 0.72% to 7.7764.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.56% at 97.99.
