Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Auto & components, Telecoms and Diversified Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 2.52%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which rose 8.35% or 0.12 points to trade at 1.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) added 7.09% or 0.5 points to end at 7.8 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was up 6.43% or 17.3 points to 286.3 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which fell 1.75% or 0.10 points to trade at 5.60 at the close. DnB ASA (OL:DNB) added 0.93% or 0.9 points to end at 98.8 and Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) was up 1.00% or 0.29 points to 29.29.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 142 to 36 and 11 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.75% or 0.81 to $47.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.61% or 0.77 to hit $48.54 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.50% or 6.65 to trade at $1318.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.43% to 9.4101, while USD/NOK fell 0.63% to 8.5196.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 96.42.
