Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.64%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG), which rose 7.87% or 2.04 points to trade at 27.95 at the close. Meanwhile, DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) added 4.10% or 0.29 points to end at 7.37 and DnB ASA (OL:DNB) was up 3.86% or 4.4 points to 118.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which fell 5.78% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.06 at the close. Schibsted ASA B (OL:SBSTB) declined 1.26% or 2.40 points to end at 188.30 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) was down 1.08% or 2.2 points to 201.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 106 to 79 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in DnB ASA (OL:DNB) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.86% or 4.4 to 118.5.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.59% or 0.78 to $49.96 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.62% or 0.81 to hit $50.79 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.24% or 3.05 to trade at $1269.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.28% to 9.0028, while USD/NOK fell 0.24% to 8.2584.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.27% at 98.86.
