Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Banking and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.00%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which rose 4.50% or 6.6 points to trade at 153.3 at the close. Meanwhile, Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) added 2.48% or 7.2 points to end at 297.2 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was up 2.41% or 0.70 points to 29.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG), which fell 2.23% or 0.62 points to trade at 27.15 at the close. Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) declined 1.41% or 1.60 points to end at 111.60 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) was down 1.35% or 0.02 points to 1.32.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 105 to 67 and 28 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.57% or 0.27 to $47.68 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.87% or 0.43 to hit $49.59 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.04% or 0.55 to trade at $1342.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.05% to 9.2924, while USD/NOK rose 0.14% to 8.2180.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.02% at 94.50.
