Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Materials and Food, Beverages & Tobacco sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.93%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG), which rose 5.36% or 1.08 points to trade at 21.24 at the close. Meanwhile, DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) added 4.88% or 0.36 points to end at 7.74 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) was up 2.80% or 0.3 points to 11.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which fell 3.63% or 0.6 points to trade at 15.4 at the close. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) declined 2.77% or 0.03 points to end at 0.95 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) was down 2.12% or 0.70 points to 32.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 99 to 70 and 20 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.10% or 0.49 to $45.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.44% or 0.67 to hit $47.19 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.45% or 6.05 to trade at $1324.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.53% to 9.0534, while USD/NOK fell 0.37% to 8.0846.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.22% at 95.56.
