Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Auto & components, Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure and Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.67%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Opera Software ASA (OSLO:OPERA), which rose 3.76% or 2.35 points to trade at 64.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE) added 3.06% or 1.8 points to end at 59.0 and Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC) was up 2.05% or 0.05 points to 2.39 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO), which fell 1.59% or 0.18 points to trade at 11.15 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OSLO:NWC) declined 1.08% or 2.6 points to end at 237.5 and Bw Lpg (OSLO:BWLPG) was down 0.62% or 0.40 points to 64.35.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 104 to 60 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.59% or 0.18 to 11.15.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.98% or 0.48 to $48.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.50% or 0.84 to hit $55.56 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.33% or 16.00 to trade at $1184.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.08% to 8.6861, while USD/NOK rose 0.71% to 8.0282.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.73% at 98.33.
