Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Banking and Healthcare Equipment & Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS), which rose 6.08% or 0.5 points to trade at 8.9 at the close. Meanwhile, Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) added 3.07% or 1.10 points to end at 36.90 and Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) was up 2.88% or 0.5 points to 17.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE), which fell 3.88% or 0.5 points to trade at 11.2 at the close. Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) declined 2.21% or 0.46 points to end at 20.36 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was down 1.92% or 5.7 points to 291.9.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 98 to 77 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) fell to 5-year lows; losing 3.88% or 0.5 to 11.2. Shares in Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.07% or 1.10 to 36.90.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.61% or 1.15 to $45.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 2.03% or 0.93 to hit $46.81 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.00% or 13.15 to trade at $1331.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.00% to 9.2620, while USD/NOK fell 0.11% to 8.2980.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 95.76.
