Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Software & Computer Services, Healthcare and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX declined 3.05% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were TNT Express (AS:TNTE), which rose 0.14% or 0.011 points to trade at 7.892 at the close. Meanwhile, Ahold Kon (AS:AHLN) fell 0.63% or 0.12 points to end at 18.80 and KPN Kon (AS:KPN) was down 0.73% or 0.024 points to 3.261 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delta Lloyd (AS:DLL), which fell 13.58% or 0.60 points to trade at 3.81 at the close. Aegon (AS:AEGN) declined 7.18% or 0.315 points to end at 4.074 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:ISPA) was down 6.82% or 0.19 points to 2.62.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 150 to 14 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Delta Lloyd (AS:DLL) fell to all time lows; down 13.58% or 0.60 to 3.81. Shares in Aegon (AS:AEGN) fell to 3-years lows; down 7.18% or 0.315 to 4.074. Shares in ArcelorMittal SA (AS:ISPA) fell to 5-year lows; falling 6.82% or 0.19 to 2.62.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 15.81% to 37.90 a new 3-months high.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 2.31% or 0.64 to $26.82 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.69% or 0.52 to hit $30.32 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 5.11% or 61.00 to trade at $1255.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.54% to 1.1353, while EUR/GBP rose 1.05% to 0.7856.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.40% at 95.46.
