Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Healthcare and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX declined 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were NN Group (AMS:NN), which rose 0.74% or 0.20 points to trade at 26.66 at the close. Meanwhile, Arcelormittal (AMS:ISPA) added 0.65% or 0.07 points to end at 10.08 and OCI (AMS:OCI) was up 0.55% or 0.150 points to 27.190 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were KPN Kon (AMS:KPN), which fell 1.61% or 0.055 points to trade at 3.356 at the close. Delta Lloyd (AMS:DLL) declined 0.65% or 0.11 points to end at 16.81 and Royal Dutch Shell A (AMS:RDSa) was down 0.52% or 0.14 points to 27.62.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 126 to 104 and 4 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 4.93% to 17.35.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.22% or 0.13 to $59.85 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.47% or 0.30 to hit $65.67 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.24% or 2.90 to trade at $1207.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.35% to 1.0974, while EUR/GBP fell 0.21% to 0.7095.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.25% at 96.49.
