Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Food Producers, Oil & Gas and Real Estate sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX declined 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Altice SA (AMS:ATCE), which rose 2.10% or 2.70 points to trade at 131.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Akzo Nobel (AMS:AKZO) added 1.14% or 0.79 points to end at 69.82 and NN Group (AMS:NN) was up 1.13% or 0.29 points to 26.46 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Arcelormittal (AMS:ISPA), which fell 0.94% or 0.10 points to trade at 10.02 at the close. Royal Dutch Shell A (AMS:RDSa) declined 0.89% or 0.25 points to end at 27.77 and Unibail-Rodamco (AMS:UNBP) was down 0.73% or 1.75 points to 239.05.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 131 to 116 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Altice SA (AMS:ATCE) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.10% or 2.70 to 131.10.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 0.87% to 16.54 a new 1-month low.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.65% or 1.00 to $59.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.77% or 1.18 to hit $65.36 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.12% or 1.50 to trade at $1205.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.71% to 1.1034, while EUR/GBP rose 0.45% to 0.7127.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.69% at 96.13.
