Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare, Financials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX added 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Unibail Rodamco SE (AS:UNBP), which rose 1.56% or 3.65 points to trade at 237.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Aegon (AS:AEGN) added 1.46% or 0.073 points to end at 5.085 and ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd) was up 1.21% or 0.23 points to 18.89 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SBM Offshore (AS:SBMO), which fell 2.05% or 0.24 points to trade at 11.46 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:ISPA) declined 1.48% or 0.07 points to end at 4.86 and KPN Kon (AS:KPN) was down 0.61% or 0.021 points to 3.414.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 87 to 78 and 6 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 4.46% to 22.16.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 2.57% or 1.18 to $44.74 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 3.00% or 1.42 to hit $45.95 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.24% or 3.15 to trade at $1293.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.52% to 1.1513, while EUR/GBP rose 0.13% to 0.7853.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.35% at 92.69.
