Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Real Estate, Construction & Building Materials and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.89% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Timar (CS:TIM), which rose 6.00% or 24.00 points to trade at 424.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Eqdom (CS:EQDM) added 5.84% or 76 points to end at 1377 and Med Paper (CS:PAP) was up 4.48% or 0.68 points to 15.83 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI), which fell 5.99% or 14.50 points to trade at 227.50 at the close. Ennakl (CS:NAKL) declined 5.97% or 2.51 points to end at 39.48 and Sonasid (CS:SOND) was down 5.96% or 50 points to 838.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 23 to 14 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI) fell to all time lows; down 5.99% or 14.50 to 227.50.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.92% or 1.72 to $60.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 2.45% or 1.59 to hit $66.62 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.33% or 4.00 to trade at $1204.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.05% to 10.8400, while USD/MAD fell 0.21% to 9.7403.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.31% at 95.35.
