Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Chemicals, Software & Computer Services and Beverage sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.57%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Cosumar (CS:CSMR), which rose 3.60% or 6 points to trade at 181 at the close. Meanwhile, Involys (CS:INV) added 1.49% or 2.00 points to end at 136.00 and Lydec (CS:LYD) was up 0.68% or 3.00 points to 442.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Snep (CS:SNP), which fell 7.10% or 8.95 points to trade at 117.00 at the close. Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM) declined 5.90% or 14.15 points to end at 225.40 and Alliances (CS:ADI) was down 5.62% or 3 points to 49.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 23 to 9 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Snep (CS:SNP) fell to all time lows; falling 7.10% or 8.95 to 117.00. Shares in Alliances (CS:ADI) fell to all time lows; losing 5.62% or 3 to 49.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.59% or 1.44 to $54.08 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 3.41% or 2.06 to hit $58.27 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1167.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.14% to 10.8240, while USD/MAD rose 0.27% to 9.7740.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 96.31.
