Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Insurance, Oil & Gas and Construction & Building Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.51% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Involys (CS:INV), which rose 5.96% or 8.30 points to trade at 147.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT) added 5.90% or 68 points to end at 1219 and Colorado (CS:COL) was up 5.90% or 4.85 points to 86.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were M2M Group (CS:M2M), which fell 2.85% or 6.00 points to trade at 204.00 at the close. S2M (CS:S2M) declined 2.17% or 4.00 points to end at 180.00 and Wafa Assurance (CS:WASS) was down 2.00% or 78 points to 3822.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 17 to 15 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.90% or 1.16 to $59.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 1.96% or 1.32 to hit $66.44 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.61% or 7.30 to trade at $1183.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.19% to 10.9030, while USD/MAD rose 0.42% to 9.6659.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.57% at 94.73.
