Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Mining, Forestry & Paper and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.41%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Aluminum du Maroc SA (CS:ALU), which rose 5.56% or 50 points to trade at 950 at the close. Meanwhile, Afric Industries Sa (CS:AFIND) added 3.08% or 10.15 points to end at 340.00 and Realis. Mecaniques (CS:SRM) was up 2.98% or 7.00 points to 242.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Managem (CS:MNG), which fell 7.23% or 58 points to trade at 750 at the close. Med Paper (CS:PAP) declined 3.61% or 0.75 points to end at 20.03 and Wafa Assurance (CS:WASS) was down 3.55% or 129 points to 3506.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 20 to 9 and 10 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 3.50% or 1.62 to $44.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 3.51% or 1.71 to hit $47.02 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.38% or 5.05 to trade at $1311.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.01% to 10.8880, while USD/MAD fell 0.20% to 9.7546.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.06% at 95.99.
