Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Insurance, Utilities and Real Estate sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM), which rose 5.99% or 10.70 points to trade at 189.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Oulmes (CS:OULM) added 5.83% or 70 points to end at 1270 and Risma (CS:RIS) was up 4.48% or 4.80 points to 111.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Involys (CS:INV), which fell 8.95% or 11.80 points to trade at 120.00 at the close. Wafa Assurance (CS:WASS) declined 4.87% or 174 points to end at 3395 and Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU) was down 4.54% or 6.00 points to 126.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 16 to 12 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.45% or 0.66 to $44.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.28% or 0.60 to hit $46.16 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1358.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.22% to 10.8450, while USD/MAD fell 0.07% to 9.8265.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.34% at 96.64.
