Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Holding Companies, Forestry & Paper and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Sothema (CS:SOT), which rose 5.94% or 77 points to trade at 1372 at the close. Meanwhile, Risma (CS:RIS) added 5.00% or 5.40 points to end at 113.40 and Alliances (CS:ADI) was up 4.33% or 3 points to 65 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO), which fell 9.94% or 157 points to trade at 1421 at the close. Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM) declined 5.99% or 11.65 points to end at 182.75 and CDM (CS:CDM) was down 5.66% or 26 points to 440.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 17 to 15 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.74% or 0.37 to $50.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.13% or 0.57 to hit $51.12 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.23% or 2.90 to trade at $1244.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.21% to 10.9560, while USD/MAD fell 0.09% to 9.6562.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.09% at 93.95.
