Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Construction & Building Materials, Forestry & Paper and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.29%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Taqa Morocco SA (CS:TQM), which rose 7.58% or 50.00 points to trade at 710.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Lydec (CS:LYD) added 5.82% or 29.00 points to end at 527.00 and Colorado (CS:COL) was up 3.80% or 1.90 points to 51.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA), which fell 6.08% or 1.49 points to trade at 23.00 at the close. Centrale Danone (CS:CDA) declined 5.94% or 39 points to end at 616 and Oulmes (CS:OULM) was down 5.85% or 76 points to 1224.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 17 to 16 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Taqa Morocco SA (CS:TQM) rose to all time highs; rising 7.58% or 50.00 to 710.00.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.90% or 0.39 to $43.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.65% or 0.30 to hit $46.34 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.50% or 6.75 to trade at $1343.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.21% to 10.8880, while USD/MAD fell 0.17% to 9.7498.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.27% at 95.64.
