Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Real Estate, Holding Companies and Food Producers & Processors sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.26%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Disway SA (CS:DWY), which rose 7.00% or 17.00 points to trade at 260.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Centrale Danone (CS:CDA) added 4.22% or 23 points to end at 568 and Realis. Mecaniques (CS:SRM) was up 3.38% or 7.95 points to 242.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alliances (CS:ADI), which fell 4.25% or 3 points to trade at 61 at the close. Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU) declined 4.00% or 5.00 points to end at 120.00 and Sonasid (CS:SOND) was down 3.83% or 13 points to 337.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 14 to 14 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.99% or 0.43 to $44.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.05% or 0.48 to hit $46.25 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.54% or 7.05 to trade at $1317.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.08% to 10.8930, while USD/MAD fell 0.01% to 9.7551.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.34% at 95.73.
