Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Beverage, Holding Companies and Mining sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Eqdom (CS:EQDM), which rose 6.00% or 55 points to trade at 965 at the close. Meanwhile, Dari Couspate SA (CS:DRI) added 6.00% or 78 points to end at 1378 and Nexans Maroc (CS:NEX) was up 5.13% or 6.30 points to 129.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Brasseries Du Maroc (CS:SBM), which fell 8.58% or 155 points to trade at 1650 at the close. Oulmes (CS:OULM) declined 5.93% or 76 points to end at 1204 and Managem (CS:MNG) was down 5.93% or 38 points to 602.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 25 to 17 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Brasseries Du Maroc (CS:SBM) fell to 3-years lows; falling 8.58% or 155 to 1650. Shares in Nexans Maroc (CS:NEX) rose to 52-week lows; gaining 5.13% or 6.30 to 129.00.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 3.99% or 1.53 to $36.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 4.24% or 1.71 to hit $38.62 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.46% or 18.10 to trade at $1217.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.05% to 10.9730, while USD/MAD fell 0.06% to 9.6327.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.04% at 94.61.
