Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Beverage and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Miniere Touissit (CS:CMT), which rose 4.11% or 43 points to trade at 1089 at the close. Meanwhile, Med Paper (CS:PAP) added 3.05% or 0.60 points to end at 20.30 and Managem (CS:MNG) was up 2.63% or 20 points to 776 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dari Couspate SA (CS:DRI), which fell 5.95% or 126 points to trade at 1990 at the close. Centrale Danone (CS:CDA) declined 4.84% or 28 points to end at 545 and Snep (CS:SNP) was down 3.80% or 3.19 points to 80.81.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 19 to 8 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.29% or 1.03 to $43.87 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.04% or 0.96 to hit $46.14 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.15% or 1.95 to trade at $1325.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.83% to 10.9230, while USD/MAD rose 0.49% to 9.7052.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.19% at 95.36.
