Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Holding Companies, Food Producers & Processors and Construction & Building Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Alliances (CS:ADI), which rose 9.99% or 13 points to trade at 146 at the close. Meanwhile, Jet Contractors (CS:JET) added 5.99% or 12.40 points to end at 219.25 and Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) was up 5.97% or 6.10 points to 108.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA), which fell 8.93% or 2.68 points to trade at 27.32 at the close. Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI) declined 5.99% or 16.40 points to end at 256.95 and Aluminum du Maroc SA (CS:ALU) was down 5.74% or 67 points to 1100.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 19 to 19 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI) fell to 3-years lows; falling 5.99% or 16.40 to 256.95.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.85% or 0.49 to $57.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 1.28% or 0.81 to hit $62.63 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.39% or 4.60 to trade at $1198.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.10% to 10.7190, while USD/MAD fell 0.02% to 9.9632.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 98.08.
