Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Mining and Construction & Building Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Holcim Maroc SA (CS:HOL), which rose 3.28% or 70 points to trade at 2199 at the close. Meanwhile, Samir (CS:SAMI) added 3.22% or 5.00 points to end at 160.00 and Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) was up 2.85% or 4.00 points to 140.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sonasid (CS:SOND), which fell 6.00% or 48 points to trade at 752 at the close. Managem (CS:MNG) declined 4.18% or 39 points to end at 891 and Med Paper (CS:PAP) was down 3.50% or 0.56 points to 15.44.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 20 to 14 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sonasid (CS:SOND) fell to 52-week lows; falling 6.00% or 48 to 752. Shares in Managem (CS:MNG) fell to 3-years lows; down 4.18% or 39 to 891.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 3.41% or 2.01 to $60.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 2.57% or 1.71 to hit $68.16 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.72% or 8.50 to trade at $1195.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.07% to 10.8660, while USD/MAD fell 0.14% to 9.7179.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.35% at 95.25.
