Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Real Estate, Pharmaceutical Industry and Mining sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Afric Industries Sa (CS:AFIND), which rose 6.00% or 20.10 points to trade at 355.10 at the close. Meanwhile, SMI (CS:SMI) added 5.98% or 166 points to end at 2941 and Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR) was up 5.51% or 5.30 points to 101.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO), which fell 5.97% or 86 points to trade at 1354 at the close. Managem (CS:MNG) declined 5.77% or 49 points to end at 799 and Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) was down 4.49% or 2.40 points to 51.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 19 to 17 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in SMI (CS:SMI) rose to 52-week highs; rising 5.98% or 166 to 2941.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.09% or 0.54 to $49.87 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.69% or 0.35 to hit $50.71 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.01% or 0.15 to trade at $1216.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.18% to 10.8800, while USD/MAD rose 0.02% to 9.7661.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 95.77.
