Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Mining, Chemicals and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.52%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Managem (CS:MNG), which rose 10.00% or 80 points to trade at 874 at the close. Meanwhile, SMI (CS:SMI) added 2.77% or 66 points to end at 2448 and Alliances (CS:ADI) was up 2.61% or 2 points to 69 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO), which fell 5.84% or 78 points to trade at 1257 at the close. Nexans Maroc (CS:NEX) declined 4.48% or 6.50 points to end at 138.50 and Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA) was down 4.29% or 1.09 points to 24.31.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 24 to 13 and 10 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 2.19% or 0.91 to $40.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 1.30% or 0.57 to hit $43.27 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.79% or 9.70 to trade at $1236.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.04% to 10.9200, while USD/MAD fell 0.30% to 9.6694.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.47% at 94.49.
