Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Construction & Building Materials, Mining and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.43%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Lafarge Ciments (CS:LAC), which rose 5.00% or 85 points to trade at 1785 at the close. Meanwhile, Managem (CS:MNG) added 4.34% or 40 points to end at 950 and Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) was up 4.07% or 4.30 points to 109.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR), which fell 5.96% or 8.80 points to trade at 138.70 at the close. Timar (CS:TIM) declined 5.36% or 24.00 points to end at 423.00 and Lydec (CS:LYD) was down 3.00% or 13.30 points to 429.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 17 to 15 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 3.02% or 1.82 to $58.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 2.78% or 1.84 to hit $64.42 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.62% or 19.90 to trade at $1207.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.21% to 10.8850, while USD/MAD rose 1.14% to 9.7570.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.13% at 95.29.
