Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Real Estate, Utilities and Pharmaceutical Industry sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO), which rose 5.94% or 91 points to trade at 1622 at the close. Meanwhile, Timar (CS:TIM) added 5.79% or 20.10 points to end at 367.00 and IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC) was up 4.34% or 2.37 points to 56.89 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CTM (CS:CTM), which fell 4.61% or 25.10 points to trade at 519.00 at the close. Auto Hall (CS:AUTO) declined 1.61% or 1.70 points to end at 103.30 and Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) was down 1.18% or 0.67 points to 55.99.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 23 to 13 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO) rose to all time highs; rising 5.94% or 91 to 1622.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.91% or 0.44 to $47.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.06% or 0.52 to hit $48.41 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.64% or 20.90 to trade at $1253.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.03% to 10.9040, while USD/MAD rose 0.25% to 9.7320.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.09% at 95.29.
