Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Beverage and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Maghreb Oxygene (CS:OXYG), which rose 5.49% or 5.00 points to trade at 96.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Snep (CS:SNP) added 3.72% or 2.98 points to end at 83.00 and Jet Contractors (CS:JET) was up 3.47% or 5.00 points to 149.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Med Paper (CS:PAP), which fell 9.95% or 2.09 points to trade at 18.91 at the close. Sothema (CS:SOT) declined 5.95% or 82 points to end at 1295 and CIH (CS:CIH) was down 1.05% or 2.90 points to 272.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 17 to 16 and 6 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.25% or 0.56 to $45.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.29% or 0.61 to hit $47.87 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.37% or 5.05 to trade at $1348.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.09% to 10.9140, while USD/MAD fell 0.01% to 9.7151.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.22% at 95.01.
