Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Electrical & Electronic equipment, Chemicals and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.26%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Nexans Maroc (CS:NEX), which rose 7.10% or 9.95 points to trade at 149.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Snep (CS:SNP) added 5.88% or 4.78 points to end at 85.95 and Ennakl Automobiles SA (CS:NKL) was up 3.89% or 2.06 points to 54.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO), which fell 5.63% or 74 points to trade at 1240 at the close. Maghreb Oxygene (CS:OXYG) declined 4.55% or 4.60 points to end at 96.30 and Delta Holding S.A (CS:DHO) was down 3.67% or 0.79 points to 20.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 18 to 17 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 4.24% or 1.90 to $46.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 4.41% or 2.04 to hit $48.29 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.79% or 24.25 to trade at $1332.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.26% to 10.8800, while USD/MAD rose 0.06% to 9.8159.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 96.37.
