Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure, Insurance and Construction & Building Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were CIH (CS:CIH), which rose 5.26% or 16.50 points to trade at 330.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) added 4.37% or 4.75 points to end at 113.40 and Sonasid (CS:SOND) was up 4.19% or 33 points to 820 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ennakl (CS:NAKL), which fell 5.95% or 2.56 points to trade at 40.42 at the close. Samir (CS:SAMI) declined 4.82% or 8.20 points to end at 161.60 and Atlanta (CS:ATL) was down 4.79% or 3.20 points to 63.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 19 to 13 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.10% or 0.65 to $59.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.11% or 0.07 to hit $65.61 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.49% or 5.80 to trade at $1188.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.23% to 10.8750, while USD/MAD rose 0.25% to 9.6980.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 94.70.
