Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemicals, Software & Computer Services and Food Producers & Processors sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.18% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Hps (CS:HPS), which rose 7.13% or 36.00 points to trade at 541.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Cartier Saada (CS:CRS) added 5.96% or 1.12 points to end at 19.92 and Snep (CS:SNP) was up 1.98% or 1.58 points to 81.58 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Label Vie (CS:LBV), which fell 5.16% or 55 points to trade at 1010 at the close. Sonasid (CS:SOND) declined 3.98% or 13 points to end at 320 and Timar (CS:TIM) was down 3.35% or 9.00 points to 260.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 19 to 17 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sonasid (CS:SOND) fell to all time lows; down 3.98% or 13 to 320. Shares in Timar (CS:TIM) fell to 5-year lows; losing 3.35% or 9.00 to 260.00.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.72% or 0.81 to $47.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.38% or 0.68 to hit $49.92 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.25% or 3.25 to trade at $1326.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.15% to 10.8990, while USD/MAD unchanged 0.00% to 9.7310.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.17% at 95.47.
