Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Beverage, Distributors and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares gained 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Brasseries Du Maroc (CS:SBM), which rose 3.15% or 49 points to trade at 1600 at the close. Meanwhile, Involys (CS:INV) added 2.92% or 3.35 points to end at 118.00 and Ennakl Automobiles SA (CS:NKL) was up 2.68% or 1.40 points to 53.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Centrale Danone (CS:CDA), which fell 5.99% or 38 points to trade at 601 at the close. Holcim Maroc SA (CS:HOL) declined 5.15% or 125 points to end at 2300 and Med Paper (CS:PAP) was down 4.24% or 0.67 points to 15.12.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 21 to 17 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Centrale Danone (CS:CDA) fell to 5-year lows; down 5.99% or 38 to 601.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 2.56% or 1.13 to $43.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.26% or 1.04 to hit $45.05 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.25% or 3.30 to trade at $1328.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.24% to 10.8410, while USD/MAD fell 0.04% to 9.8525.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.10% at 97.31.
