Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Forestry & Paper, Banking and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Med Paper (CS:PAP), which rose 9.98% or 1.63 points to trade at 17.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Maghreb Oxygene (CS:OXYG) added 4.39% or 4.25 points to end at 100.85 and Bmce Bank (CS:BMCE) was up 3.94% or 8.00 points to 211.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR), which fell 5.98% or 6.16 points to trade at 96.74 at the close. SMI (CS:SMI) declined 5.97% or 182 points to end at 2866 and Sothema (CS:SOT) was down 5.24% or 72 points to 1300.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 23 to 14 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 2.43% or 1.23 to $49.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 2.27% or 1.18 to hit $50.77 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.03% or 0.35 to trade at $1273.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.13% to 10.9310, while USD/MAD fell 0.02% to 9.6700.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.36% at 94.44.
