Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Holding Companies, Chemicals and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Alliances (CS:ADI), which rose 9.28% or 14 points to trade at 160 at the close. Meanwhile, Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) added 6.33% or 6.85 points to end at 115.00 and Ennakl (CS:NAKL) was up 6.00% or 2.34 points to 41.34 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Disway (CS:DWAY), which fell 5.97% or 13.50 points to trade at 226.00 at the close. Auto Nejma (CS:NEJ1) declined 5.93% or 91 points to end at 1441 and Label Vie (CS:LBV) was down 5.36% or 59 points to 1040.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 17 to 16 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Label Vie (CS:LBV) fell to all time lows; down 5.36% or 59 to 1040.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.65% or 0.37 to $56.24 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.01% or 0.62 to hit $62.70 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.19% or 14.30 to trade at $1188.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.03% to 10.7020, while USD/MAD rose 0.07% to 9.9750.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 98.26.
