Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Forestry & Paper, Mining and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Disway (CS:DWAY), which rose 5.00% or 10.90 points to trade at 228.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Med Paper (CS:PAP) added 4.61% or 0.78 points to end at 17.68 and Ciments Du Maroc (CS:SCM) was up 4.27% or 43 points to 1050 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stroc Industrie (CS:STR), which fell 5.97% or 6.21 points to trade at 97.69 at the close. Lafarge Ciments (CS:LAC) declined 3.61% or 65 points to end at 1735 and Microdata (CS:MIC) was down 3.14% or 4.50 points to 138.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 17 to 16 and 2 ended unchanged.
Shares in Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) fell to 52-week lows; losing 5.97% or 6.21 to 97.69.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 3.16% or 1.64 to $53.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.95% or 1.15 to hit $60.19 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.58% or 6.90 to trade at $1192.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.36% to 10.6840, while USD/MAD fell 0.38% to 10.0165.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.82% at 98.92.
