Investing.com – Morocco stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Forestry & Paper, Software & Computer Services and Holding Companies sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.24% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were BMCI (CS:BMCI), which rose 5.09% or 30 points to trade at 619 at the close. Meanwhile, Marsa Maroc SA (CS:MSA) added 4.41% or 4.01 points to end at 94.90 and Jet Contractors (CS:JET) was up 4.29% or 6.00 points to 146.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM), which fell 3.47% or 6.00 points to trade at 167.00 at the close. Managem (CS:MNG) declined 2.85% or 23 points to end at 785 and Afriquia Gaz (CS:AGAZ1) was down 1.96% or 47 points to 2353.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 27 to 15 and 8 ended unchanged.
Shares in Marsa Maroc SA (CS:MSA) rose to all time highs; rising 4.41% or 4.01 to 94.90.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.12% or 0.06 to $50.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.53% or 0.27 to hit $51.65 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.06% or 0.75 to trade at $1266.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.20% to 10.7740, while USD/MAD rose 0.31% to 9.9115.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.42% at 98.70.
