Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Materials, Telecoms Services and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC lost 0.89%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Grupo Aeroportuario Del Pacifico (MX:GAPB), which rose 1.70% or 2.650 points to trade at 158.120 at the close. Meanwhile, Alsea , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALSEA) added 1.49% or 0.890 points to end at 60.820 and Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA) was up 1.28% or 0.430 points to 33.900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX:IENOVA), which fell 2.72% or 2.01 points to trade at 71.80 at the close. Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (MX:OMAB) declined 2.06% or 1.800 points to end at 85.410 and Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico (MX:SANMEXB) was down 2.06% or 0.670 points to 31.930.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 81 to 65 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Alsea, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALSEA) rose to all time highs; up 1.49% or 0.890 to 60.820. Shares in Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA) rose to all time highs; rising 1.28% or 0.430 to 33.900.
Gold for December delivery was down 1.32% or 14.10 to $1055.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 2.95% or 1.27 to hit $41.77 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.26% or 0.57 to trade at $44.88 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.30% to 16.6108, while EUR/MXN rose 0.15% to 17.5965.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.19% at 100.05.
