Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Financial Services and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC declined 0.53% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Industrias CH, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICHB), which rose 2.55% or 1.620 points to trade at 65.100 at the close. Meanwhile, El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX:LIVEPOLC1) added 2.36% or 3.990 points to end at 174.440 and Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GCARSOA1) was up 1.57% or 1.020 points to 65.630 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX), which fell 11.77% or 3.610 points to trade at 26.120 at the close. Bolsa Mexicana De Valores SAB De CV (MX:BOLSAA) declined 2.88% or 0.820 points to end at 27.710 and Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) was down 2.51% or 0.450 points to 17.470.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 96 to 45 and 4 ended unchanged.
Gold for June delivery was down 0.18% or 2.10 to $1191.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.45% or 0.27 to hit $60.67 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.01% or 0.01 to trade at $67.53 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.11% to 15.3590, while EUR/MXN rose 1.57% to 17.4305.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.13% at 94.19.
