Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financial Services, Materials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.52%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB), which rose 4.84% or 0.700 points to trade at 15.350 at the close. Meanwhile, Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES) added 2.08% or 4.880 points to end at 239.990 and Grupo Simec, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:SIMECB) was up 1.65% or 0.720 points to 44.200 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX:LIVEPOLC1), which fell 5.09% or 11.040 points to trade at 205.010 at the close. Cemex SAB de CV (MX:CMXCPO) declined 3.31% or 0.440 points to end at 12.880 and Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico (MX:SANMEXB) was down 2.25% or 0.590 points to 25.680.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 83 to 73 and 2 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 1.93% or 21.60 to $1138.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 4.20% or 1.97 to hit $44.93 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 2.84% or 1.40 to trade at $47.69 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.35% to 16.6594, while EUR/MXN fell 0.81% to 18.8262.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.78% at 95.36.
