Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods & Services, Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC declined 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Banregio Grupo Financiero SAB De CV (MX:GFREGIOO), which rose 2.58% or 2.170 points to trade at 86.250 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Financiero Banorte (MX:GFNORTEO) added 2.38% or 2.070 points to end at 88.960 and Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX:IENOVA) was up 2.02% or 1.82 points to 92.06 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico (MX:SANMEXB), which fell 4.75% or 1.590 points to trade at 31.860 at the close. Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (MX:ASURB) declined 3.60% or 8.410 points to end at 225.310 and Empresas ICA, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICA) was down 2.04% or 0.290 points to 13.900.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 85 to 49 and 3 ended unchanged.

Gold for June delivery was up 0.69% or 8.30 to $1211.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $56.97 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.30% or 0.20 to trade at $64.64 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.65% to 15.2508, while EUR/MXN rose 0.16% to 16.7427.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.73% at 96.19.
