Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms Services, Consumer Staples and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Nemak SAB de CV (MX:NEMAKA), which rose 2.89% or 0.61 points to trade at 21.69 at the close. Meanwhile, Bolsa Mexicana De Valores SAB De CV (MX:BOLSAA) added 2.13% or 0.670 points to end at 32.190 and Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) was up 2.01% or 0.400 points to 20.350 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alpek, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALPEKA), which fell 2.81% or 0.920 points to trade at 31.850 at the close. Arca Continental , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AC) declined 1.63% or 1.930 points to end at 116.350 and PINFRA SAB De CV (MX:PINFRA) was down 1.51% or 3.230 points to 210.870.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 86 to 72 and 6 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.01% or 0.15 to $1255.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.87% or 0.44 to hit $49.91 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.79% or 0.41 to trade at $51.54 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.76% to 18.8582, while EUR/MXN fell 0.55% to 20.7388.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.21% at 97.87.
