Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare, Financial Services and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC added 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:BIMBOA), which rose 3.92% or 1.770 points to trade at 46.940 at the close. Meanwhile, Alpek, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALPEKA) added 3.71% or 0.890 points to end at 24.880 and PINFRA SAB De CV (MX:PINFRA) was up 2.83% or 4.850 points to 176.100 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX), which fell 2.18% or 0.450 points to trade at 20.210 at the close. Bolsa Mexicana De Valores SAB De CV (MX:BOLSAA) declined 1.16% or 0.320 points to end at 27.330 and Cemex SAB de CV (MX:CMXCPO) was down 0.97% or 0.160 points to 16.420.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 121 to 93 and 11 ended unchanged.
Gold for February delivery was up 1.59% or 18.10 to $1159.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.41% or 0.22 to hit $53.84 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.21% or 0.12 to trade at $56.97 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.03% to 20.7188, while EUR/MXN fell 0.08% to 21.7305.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.56% at 102.66.
