Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Materials, Industrials and Financial Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC rose 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB), which rose 3.24% or 1.820 points to trade at 57.920 at the close. Meanwhile, Gruma SAB de CV (MX:GRUMAB) added 1.99% or 4.900 points to end at 250.930 and Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALFAA) was up 1.83% or 0.460 points to 25.560 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX), which fell 1.40% or 0.260 points to trade at 18.360 at the close. Nemak SAB de CV (MX:NEMAKA) declined 1.36% or 0.25 points to end at 18.19 and Banregio Grupo Financiero SAB De CV (MX:GFREGIOO) was down 1.28% or 1.470 points to 113.600.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 80 to 59 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB) rose to all time highs; up 3.24% or 1.820 to 57.920.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.36% or 4.30 to $1183.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $47.98 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.14% or 0.07 to trade at $48.88 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.02% to 20.7413, while EUR/MXN rose 0.03% to 21.8943.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.04% at 101.77.
