Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Chemicals and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 2.72%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Italcementi (MI:ITAI), which fell 0.09% or 0.010 points to trade at 10.570 at the close. Meanwhile, Campari (MI:CPRI) fell 0.31% or 0.03 points to end at 9.70 and Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) was down 0.37% or 0.16 points to 42.53 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unicredit (MI:CRDI), which fell 6.30% or 0.1300 points to trade at 1.9340 at the close. Banca Pop Emilia Romagna (MI:EMII) declined 5.79% or 0.198 points to end at 3.222 and Azimut Holding (MI:AZMT) was down 5.46% or 0.78 points to 13.51.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 307 to 75 and 27 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.08% or 0.04 to $48.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.35% or 0.18 to hit $50.71 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.68% or 9.25 to trade at $1347.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.32% to 1.1317, while EUR/GBP rose 0.63% to 0.8676.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.49% at 94.57.
