Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Financials and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 1.89%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI), which rose 1.67% or 0.110 points to trade at 6.700 at the close. Meanwhile, Tod'S (MI:TOD) added 1.01% or 0.60 points to end at 60.30 and Luxottica Group (MI:LUX) was up 0.91% or 0.43 points to 47.57 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unicredit (MI:CRDI), which fell 5.28% or 0.1880 points to trade at 3.3740 at the close. STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) declined 4.53% or 0.255 points to end at 5.370 and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA) was down 4.30% or 0.3150 points to 7.0100.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 280 to 128 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.41% or 0.19 to $45.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.98% or 0.47 to hit $47.30 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 2.33% or 29.45 to trade at $1295.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.77% to 1.1439, while EUR/GBP rose 0.67% to 0.7823.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.63% at 93.14.
