Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Healthcare and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 1.61%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (MI:BMPS), which rose 0.74% or 0.0018 points to trade at 0.2449 at the close. Meanwhile, Mediobanca (MI:MDBI) added 0.67% or 0.045 points to end at 6.720 and A2A (MI:A2) was up 0.40% or 0.005 points to 1.246 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI), which fell 5.30% or 0.375 points to trade at 6.705 at the close. STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) declined 3.91% or 0.340 points to end at 8.360 and Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) was down 2.77% or 1.33 points to 46.65.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 262 to 105 and 35 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.73% or 0.34 to $46.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.01% or 0.49 to hit $48.12 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.20% or 15.25 to trade at $1288.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.68% to 1.1055, while EUR/GBP rose 0.79% to 0.9035.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.56% at 97.77.
