Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 1.08%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were STMicroelectronics (MI:STM), which rose 1.43% or 0.100 points to trade at 7.115 at the close. Meanwhile, Prysmian (MI:PRY) added 1.32% or 0.29 points to end at 22.22 and Recordati (MI:RECI) was up 0.26% or 0.07 points to 27.16 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (MI:BMPS), which fell 6.40% or 0.0128 points to trade at 0.1872 at the close. Banca Popolare di Milano Scarl (MI:PMII) declined 5.89% or 0.0210 points to end at 0.3357 and Banco Popolare Sc (MI:BAPO) was down 4.54% or 0.095 points to 1.999.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 289 to 105 and 23 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.11% or 0.05 to $43.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.39% or 0.18 to hit $45.77 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.04% or 0.55 to trade at $1318.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.06% to 1.1168, while EUR/GBP rose 0.27% to 0.8601.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.11% at 95.90.
