Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.95%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Snam (MI:SRG), which rose 0.32% or 0.016 points to trade at 5.010 at the close. Meanwhile, Enel (MI:ENEI) added 0.25% or 0.0100 points to end at 3.9520 and Campari (MI:CPRI) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to 9.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unicredit (MI:CRDI), which fell 3.72% or 0.0840 points to trade at 2.1740 at the close. Banca Pop Emilia Romagna (MI:EMII) declined 2.91% or 0.102 points to end at 3.402 and Banco Popolare Sc (MI:BAPO) was down 2.84% or 0.0640 points to 2.1920.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 270 to 103 and 31 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.56% or 0.26 to $47.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.73% or 0.36 to hit $49.41 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.31% or 4.10 to trade at $1325.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.12% to 1.1277, while EUR/GBP rose 0.51% to 0.8556.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.02% at 94.75.
